Where the runway meets the street
Stone Island

Known for continuously pushing the boundaries of technical apparel, Stone Island’s latest Harris Tweed collaboration is no exception. Deriving its design from the color experimentation at the base of each brand’s DNA, the capsule has developed an exclusive tweed fabric, consisting of 8 different colors of wool, spun together into a single yarn.

Having achieved a color unlike no other garment ever released from either party, the Polymorphic Ice capsule flaunts a modular design, with which components such as heat-sensitive pockets can be easily transferred from the detachable liner to its tweed shell with relative ease.

Many will know that anything to come from Stone Island bearing the word “ice” in its name often escalates to becoming amongst its most collectible products. That being said, color-changing materials are not new to the brand, but for this particular collaboration, the heat-sensitive components replicate the hypothetical colors of the aforementioned tweed base.

The Polymorphic Ice capsule will be available from Thursday, October 25 in all Stone Island flagship stores, and from 10am EST across its respective web platforms. Be sure to check out the piece in more detail below.
