We asked Jacob a few questions to get to know him better. Keep up with the discussion through #HSstreetstyle.
Tell us a bit about yourself. What do you do?
I'm actually interested the IT industry, but I also have a passion for fashion. I work as a photographer, and for the past week I've been shooting street style for W during Sydney Fashion Week. I also work for Sneakerboy.
How old are you? What do you want to do when you're older?
I am 23 now. I want to be a network administer, a casual photographer and a buyer in the fashion industry, because I'm interested in analyzing, investigating and knowing principles. I'm full of curiosity, and as long as I am into IT, photography and fashion, I would like to experience as much as I can before I'm 30.
What's the one item of clothing you'd never give up?
I always wear COMME des GARCONS' "Samuel" drop-crotch pants. They're super comfy and look classy and stylish, so they're great for fashion week when I need to run, sit and stand up several times to catch people coming in and out of the shows.
What's the one piece you wish you'd copped when you had the chance?
COMME des GARCONS' SS10 collection, it was amazing. It was the colorful plaid detail on the jackets and shirts with contrasting pockets that inspired me to study fashion.
What got you into fashion?
Honestly...I just wanted to know people in the fashion industry. I was going to study fashion, however, the creative side was hard for me. So I started taking photos in fashion week with just one basic camera as a hobby, and I got to know people through that.
