As part of its ongoing Spring/Summer 2016, Supreme just revealed a collab with niche Japanese label Sasquatchfabrix. Established in Tokyo in 2003 by Daisuke Yokoyama, Sasquatchfabrix. links with the NYC hype machine on a set of Japanese-flavored pieces, including traditional Hanten coats and shirts, slip-on shoes and folding fans, alongside a bevy of tees and headwear printed with some quintessentially Japanese imagery.
It’s a pretty unexpected move from Supreme, although given the cult following it’s enjoyed in Japan and its close ties with many Tokyo labels (having dropped collabs with the likes of visvim, NEIGHBORHOOD and WTAPS in the past), it certainly makes sense.
Supreme x Sasquatchfabrix. drops April 14 in the USA and Europe, and April 16 in Japan.
