Uniqlo

Uniqlo's second collection with Japanese designer Verdy is available beginning today exclusively at Uniqlo's 5th Avenue store and online. Themed "Rise Again," the FW19 collaboration showcases various uplifting messages in Verdy's signature typographic treatments.

Due to popular demand, Uniqlo has added men's styles to the new Verdy collection, while pieces for women and kids are also present. Hoodies, T-shirts, and other garments are adorned with sayings such as "Get a Move On" and "Life Is a Wild Ride." The FW19 capsule also includes tote bags and children's sweats, as well as oversized women's sweat dresses.

"While the previous collection project was for women’s UTs, I was surprised so see so many men wearing them. So, this time I wanted to also create men’s items, and I’m delighted this has come to fruition," says Verdy. "We’ve also refined the silhouette and paid particular attention to elements in addition to graphics. We’ve also learned from the previous effort, and the typography and graphics work are more in harmony, expressing my ethos even better."

Uniqlo has tapped model Ayumi Turnbull and Los Angeles creative Anwar Carrots, who are both friends of Verdy, to model the FW19 styles for the official lookbook. Again, you can shop Uniqlo x Verdy FW19 now in-store at Uniqlo 5th Avenue and online.
