For his debut collection, designer Val Kristopher puts his views on work ethic and life morals front and center. Similar to G-Star RAW and Jaden Smith‘s collaboration, this collection refers to breaking rules and boundaries in denim, and going against the social standards of doing things such as the norm of being bound financially by banking societies, and schooling systems.
Within drop one comes a twenty-two piece collection and eight new denim styles that represent a different personality and story. The ‘No Transaction’ denim plays on the VISA font and represents a millennial generation getting tied up in financial instability.
Meanwhile, the wearable ‘Carpenter Denim’ was inspired by hard working carpenters. VAL, who began as a denim worker, has now created his first apparel collection themed around his ethos: of breaking out of boundaries and boxes. F.S.U logo featured throughout represents a generation wanting to do things differently.
