Without any doubt, this Vetements Spring/Summer 2017 collection, which debuted in Paris this weekend, has been one of the most anticipated collections this season. As announced earlier here, Vetements tapped an impressive 18 other brands to do collaborative product with for their new SS17 line. The full list of collaborators includes Carhartt WIP, Levi’s, Canada Goose, Eastpak, Reebok, Alpha Industries, COMME des GARÇONS, Champion, Schott, Manolo Blahnik, Brioni, Lucchese, Mackintosh, Church’s, Dr. Martens, Kawasaki and Juicy Couture. Some of the collaborations are easier to spot than others, but from Levi's trucker jackets, Carhartt WIP pants and overalls, to Schott leather biker jackets and Juicy Couture one piece suits, Vetements made sure to use each brand for what its best known for, while infusing each with their unique silhouettes and fits. The result is a surprisingly coherent collection that is 100% in line with previous collections of the hyped Parisian brand. Gosha Rubchinskiy recently presented his new Spring/Summer 2017 collection featuring collaborations with FILA, Superga, Kappa and Sergio Tacchini. It seems like the inclusion of so many collaborations is a new trend.
