Presented by Rick Owens’s partner and frequent collaborator, Michèle Lamy, we are run through the intricate design process leading up to the brand’s most recent show at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

The monstrous, avant-garde structures all exude a somewhat imposing presence when seen juxtaposed against MOCA’s hollowed walls, and very much represent the aesthetic sensibilities we have come to expect from Rick Owens over the years. Inspired by something akin to brutalist architecture and the effects of acid on concrete surfacing, the Rick Owens furniture exhibition also hints at more gentle references, such as that of interpretive dance.

Enjoy the video above and be sure to follow the man himself’s tutorial on how to keep your hair jet black in check to perfectly compliment one, if not all of his MOCA pieces.
