Addison Rae has conquered TikTok and now, she's coming for fashion.

Over the past few months, Rae's personal style has undergone a subtle shift. The dancer, actor, and singer has always embraced laidback, California cool, opting for crop tops, denim cut-offs, and oversized shirts — and while her recent 'fits retain this sporty, casual aesthetic, Rae has begun leaning heavily into the nostalgia of Y2K fashion, causing her street style to take off online.

Rae's recent outfits manage to capture the kitschy charm of 2000s fashion icons such as Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, who turned sassy graphic tees, Juicy tracksuits, and ultra low-rise jeans into style bait for the paparazzi.

Rae resurrects the tabloid-ready appeal of these outfits in her very own paparazzi shots. In one recent photo, she dons fluffy UGGs, a sports bra, athletic shorts, and a furry, hot pink hat while out and about in Los Angeles. A lollipop serves as a finishing touch.

In another, she wears a Baby Spice-esque crop top, tiny bottoms, rimless sunglasses, and wired headphones while retrieving her car. Headphones aside, the photo looks as if it were ripped straight out of the pages of an old US Weekly.

Last month, Rae was papp'ed in a baby tee reading "SWEET 69," a pair of dance shorts, and huge sunglasses. Her Starface pimple patches are the icing on the cake: celebrities are just like us, breakouts and all!

Rae manages to strike a perfect balance between referential and contemporary, treading a sartorial middle ground that captures both the spontaneity of 2002 and the self-awareness of 2022.

And the Oscar for breakout street style star of the year goes to Addison Rae!
