Editor’s Notes: Three years after the original adidas Ultra Boost took the world by storm, the brand with the Three Stripes is reportedly bringing back the OG colorway that started it all. The release date, which was rumored to be in December, has now been “set” as December 31.
While the Ultra Boost is already on its fourth iteration (adidas released the Ultra Boost 4.0 last December), fans of the silhouette have been longing for a return of the original Primeknit pattern and black/purple colorway seen above.
Back in May of this year, Rev Up Sports seemingly confirmed that the sneaker would be releasing in December. Now, various outlets are reporting that an exact date has been set: December 31.
Curiously, the stock images Rev Up Sports used earlier in the year show the sneaker’s original outsole tooling, which adidas swapped out for Continental rubber due to grip issues three years ago.
Check out the stock images above. Will you be trying to cop if the OG colorway ends up restocking? Let us know in the comments.
