With the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the year scheduled to kick off later this month, adidas gives us a look at its 2019 US Open collection. Inspired by the streets of New York City, as well as urban tennis culture, the performance wear will be worn on Grand Slam courts by Angelique Kerber, Garbine Muguruza, Caroline Wozniacki, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev.

The tennis apparel is made using innovative Clima technologies, as adidas’ breathable moisture-wicking fabric known as Climalite is sure to keep athletes cool and dry during the most extreme temperatures.

Lucas Pouille, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev are slated to wear the NY Printed Tee, which boasts a glitch style print inspired by the streets of NYC. Dominic Thiem will be sporting the NY Polo in an eye-catching glow green colorway. Zverev will also be showcasing the NY Solid Short that offers enhanced freedom of movement, while other male athletes wear the NY Melange Short featuring an elasticated waistband and exposed drawcord.

For women, Garbine Muguruza and Kiki Mladenovic will go to battle in the NY Dress, crafted from a Climalite engineered fabric with NYC-specific details knitted into the pattern. Caroline Wozniacki will be seen in the NY Tank with an open hole mesh overlay, while Angelique Kerber wears the NY Women’s Tee with open hole mesh zoning at the back for improved ventilation. Multiple athletes will be sporting the pleated NY Skirt as well, which features a print inspired by the streets of NYC, while others will wear the NY Women’s Short with open hole mesh zoning at the back.

In addition to the apparel, adidas’ 2019 US Open collection includes the SoleCourt sneaker with Boost cushioning. You can find the range available now through adidas.com.
