Model: ZX Torsion
Key Features: adidas’ best-known midsole support technology, Torsion, and the revolutionary Boost cushioning system combine on Y-3’s elevated take on the recently-launched ZX Torsion. Y-3 adds a low-slung black heel tab that features Yamamoto’s signature and removes the Three Stripes branding from the side of the shoe.
Release Date: August 22 (Black), TBC (White)
Price: €280 (approximately $300)
Editor’s Notes: adidas’ Yohji Yamamoto-designed subdivision, Y-3, has given the recently-launched ZX Torsion a high-end spin, swapping out materials and subtle design features for an elevated, split-sole look. In addition to the aforementioned key features, the lacing system has been upgraded for a cleaner finish, while leather is used on the sock liner and tongue for a premium feel.
The sneaker comes in two colorways and is available at the retailers listed above (though the white pair does not have a concrete release date just yet).
