Since being drafted in 2011, Kyrie Irving has become one of the most feared, loved, and respected guards in the NBA. With the handling skills to break even the strongest of ankles and a penchant for scoring seemingly impossible layups, he’s a veritable asset for his franchise. A star like Kyrie needs a shoe to match, and while there are a handful of stars with successful signature shoes, few — if any — are as popular as the Nike Kyrie.
Now in its 8th generation, the Nike Kyrie manages to tread the fine line between performance and lifestyle — an ability that we’ve rarely seen outside of the Jordan saga. It means that they’re a go-to choice for other NBA players and amateur ballers alike.
Aside from padded support from the lightweight cushioned midsole allowing lightning-fast reactions, the Nike Kyrie has gained its central place in basketball culture with its bold colorways. Carrying a number of detailed touches that nod to the player himself, each colorway is designed to make an impact. There are a lot to choose from, though, so we’ve rounded up 10 of our favorite Nike Kyrie colorways to help you out.

Kyrie 7 Weatherman
When Kyrie signed for the Brooklyn Nets alongside Kevin Durant and James Harden, it not only struck fear into the hearts of every baller, but also brought around some wild marketing opps for Nike. The Nike Kyrie 7 Weatherman steals the heatmap colorway from Durant's Nike KD.
Kyrie 7 Expressions
Kyrie colorways don't have many inhibitions. That's what makes them stand out. Any color could be chosen and the Expressions model is an example of pastel madness. Blue, pink, peach, and orange combine with speckled soles and swirls to the upper for a truly mind-boggling display.
Kyrie 6 Kyrie Invitational
Precious few other players in the NBA right now could hope for one of their models to sell for upwards of $3000 at resale. That's the power that Kyrie's designs hold. This player-exclusive was never publically released. Each player that appeared in Kyrie's 2019 Invitational — which pits the top Tri-State high schools against each other — received a pair of the unmatched red & green kicks.
Kyrie 2 DB Doernbecher
In partnership with Doernbecher hospital, this pair is designed to honor Andy Grass, a patient who was crushed by a log while at the beach. With collapsed lungs and a crushed body, Grass recouped over three weeks with the help of DB doctors and his incredible story is told in this 2016 pair.
Kyrie 5 Taco PE
Arguably the Kyrie silhouette most suited to lifestyle wear, the Kyrie 5 got a suitably flex-worthy makeover by Odd Future's Taco. Real Tree camo covers the upper while neon orange hits add a pop of color.
Kyrie 3 MOM
Nike teamed up with New Jersey retailer SNKRROOM in 2017 to release two exclusive colorways of the Nike Kyrie 3. Dedicated to Kyrie's late mother who was lost to cancer, the pair features a red rose to the side as well as text detailing to the insoles and Kyrie logo. All proceeds from sales went to the Jersey City Medical Center.
Kyrie S2 Hybrid Sashiko Pack
S2 Hybrid Sashiko Pack
In similar style to the Nike Dunk Sashiko, this Nike S2 Hybrid utilizes Japanese-style indigo dyes and stitching. What's even more interesting is that this silhouette is a mix-and-match of the Kyrie 4, 5, and 6.
Kyrie 7 Horus
Inspired by Kyrie's interest in ancient Egyptian archaeology, this pair made in collaboration with Boston-based retailer CONCEPTS features a blue upper which recalls the ceramics of the era. A feathered Swoosh and Eye of Horus to the opposing sidewall complement other Egyptian hieroglyphs to give this pair a godly finish.
Kyrie 7 Brooklyn Beats
Characterized by its black & white makeup, this pair is an homage to Brooklyn. Specifically, its long-standing relationship with hip-hop. The heel tab carries a graphic of Brooklyn bridge built on top of a boombox for a touch of unique detailing.
Kyrie 7 Creator
Known for his creativity on the hardwood, Kyrie's Creator colorway pays respects to the player's creative inspirations across music, film, sports, and art. The wild uppers tell the story of several muses.
