Brand: Beyoncé x adidas

Model: Superstar Platform

Key Features: For the latest Superstar collab, Beyoncé reimagines the iconic silhouette. The sneaker keeps its recognizable leather upper with black stripes and a rubber shell toe, however this time the cap is pointed at the front. This is placed on an elevated layered midsole. A rubber sole wraps around the platform sole creating a chunky, structured feel. Complimenting the pointy end, the lateral also features new sharp angles. Beyoncé keeps the co-branding subtle with her name printed on the insole just beneath adidas‘ Trefoil logo.

Release Date: September 8

Price: $200

Buy: adidas Confirmed App and adidas.com

Editor’s Notes: The Three Stripes has enlisted a handful of its high-profile collaborators this year to reimagine the classic Superstar design, notably Pharrell, Jonah Hill, and Sean Wotherspoon with Beyoncé being the latest. However, according to fans, Queen Bey might have just killed the streak of successful collab Superstars with her new platform iteration.

Since adidas revealed the sneaker, even die-hard Bey stans have taken to social media to decry the popstar's interesting design choice. However, as divisive as the new Superstar is, unlike many adidas collaborators before her, Beyoncé reimagined the shoe's very classic model instead of simply adding design elements to the upper.
