A sneaker model that has managed to become a flagship silhouette since its release in 2019, the Burberry Arthur Sneaker encapsulates the design language that Riccardo Tisci brought to Burberry. It fuses British history, modern design, and a generous helping of the heritage brand's signature iconography. Plus, just in time for Summer 2022, the latest arrivals are the most colorful yet.

Taking elements from hiking footwear and mixing it with high-fashion codes is a popular recipe, but not one that guarantees success. As fashion houses continue to experiment with incorporating the uber-practical world of gorp into a luxurious environment, the Burberry Arthur Sneaker illustrates how the two worlds can seamlessly combine when done well.

Inspired by Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington, whose name is responsible for the term "Wellington boots", the practical elements of a rainboot are tied into this contemporary chunky sneaker. Most notably, A rubber mudguard protects much of the upper, which is crafted using technical nylon and suede.

Bringing a new update to the brand's signature model, the latest Burberry Arthur Sneaker drop sees a vast range of new colorways available to choose from. Some of the brighter iterations have really caught our eye though, in particular the light grey iteration with flashes of pale green. We're loving that the signature Burberry check reads like a summer-ready gingham here.
