Highsnobiety

"Why do I need a watch? I have a cell phone." you might say. Quite frankly, I couldn't agree more. There is really no need for a clock strapped to your wrist, when everything you might ever need on the move is crammed into a little smart device. However, if you want to make a bold fashion statement, there is no way around a dapper time-piece. That of course doesn't mean you have to go for a chunky gold and diamond encrusted Rolex. We say: Less is more, and this especially refers to our choice of wrist watches.

Void Watches - V03C Chronograph

The Void V03C Chronograph features a Japanese Miyota movement, providing a delicate precision that goes hand in hand with the sophisticated design. The included Italian croco leather watch band adds a subtle touch of luxury to this otherwise understated time-piece. Get it directly at Void.

Uniform Wares - 100 Series Wristwatch

The 100 series is Uniform Wares' most minimal designed time-piece. Entirely focusing on form and function, this subtle accessory compliments every outfit without drawing too much attention to itself. This mid-century design inspired wrist watch features among others a 37mm Stainless Steel case, a matt PVD coated finish, a Precision Japanese Quartz movement and PU rubber wrist band. Get it at The Ghostly Store.

Sometimes Watch

The Sometimes watch is truly an unique time-piece. The all black design is only highlighted by three contrasting white hands, of which the center one - the seconds hand - moves independently, therefore appearing to be out of sync. The watch is consructed of black IP Stainless Steel for extra durability and features a high quality Quartz Movement. The wrist band merely sleeps through loops on the case back, making it easy to switch the standard black leather or Kevlar band to a different colored one. This amazing watch is available at Project Watches.

NAVA - Wherever Watch

The Wherever watch by NAVA will make a great companion for every globetrotting adventurer. Simply by adding an additional hour hand, you are now able to simultaneously tell the time at your journey's starting point as well as your eventual destination. You can purchase it directly at the NAVA webshop.

Junghans - Max Bill Chronoscope Watch

Architect, painter, sculptor and writer Max Bill designed the Chronoscope in 1962 for German watchmaker Junghans. Uniting timeless design, free of frills and gimmicks, and unchallenged craftsmanship this exceptional time-piece has lost none of its initial appeal. Even after 50 years the Chronoscope is without doubt a class of its own. Get it at Nova 68.

Jaquet Droz - Grande Heure Onyx

Swiss company Jaquet Droz' history can be traced back all the way to the 18th century, when founder Pierre Jaquet-Droz quickly rose to the ranks of a master craftsman, impressing kings and emperors all over the world with his astonishing mechanics. His legacy lives on in the most finest swiss made time-pieces currently available. The Grand Heure Onyx features besides a high grad selfwinding mechanical movement and power reserve of 68 hours, a unique watch face covering a day's entire 24 hours. Get this exceptional watch at Colette. Braun - Dieter Rams BN0032 Stainless Steel Watch

Dieter Rams might be the most famed advocate of the "less is more" philosophy. For German consumer products company Braun he designed a wide array of electronic devices which are now considered timeless examples of succesful industrail design. The BN0032 Stainless Steel Watch is probably one of the most beautiful pieces Rams has ever designed. It features a Steinless Steel case, a white face with contrasting black hour and minute hands and yellow seconds hand, a date window, a metal mesh strap as well as a Quartz crystal movement and water resistance up to 5 ATM. This piece of design history is currently available at Mr. Porter.
