UK drill phenomenon Central Cee has become the latest poster boy for the genre’s influential fashion trends. It’s a position he takes quite seriously, even going to a wedding in standard roadman attire: a puffer jacket, track pants, and boots. His clothing brand, Syna, debuted with colorful tracksuits earlier in 2023 that add some whimsy to the tough guy uniform. But now it’s time to return to the roadman roots with Syna’s spin on the monochrome tracksuit. 

The new collection, available via Syna’s website on October 28, is set to rival Nike Tech Fleece sweatsuits’ chokehold on the youth. The blacked-out set sticks true to the preferred dark color palette of young UK drill fans decked out in monochromatic Nike tech suits, puffers, and balaclavas. I'm surprised Cench hasn't dropped a puffer of his own in time for the winter.

Syna’s even dropping a cheeky Ghostface shirt just in time for Halloween. The Scream franchise’s main villain gets the Syna airbrush treatment and even appears on a hot pink wired telephone, although I would’ve loved to see Ghostface wearing his best Central Cee cosplay in the vein of those Disney princesses punk edits from the Tumblr days.

The initial Syna launch was intense; after all, it is founded by the UK’s biggest rap star, but that wasn’t the only reason for the chaos. Somehow, an overzealous fan figured out the password to Syna’s online store before its debut back in May. As expected, the drop sold out in less than five minutes.

Syna’s guerrilla marketing also helped drive interest, like when dudes decked out in Syna tracksuits began handing out large Cali Packs filled with clothes during a surprise car boot sale in in London for the brand's debut.

While the October 2023 Syna drop is notably less flashy than its headline-making pop-ups, there’s no doubt that this new drop will sell out just like his favorite Decathlon jacket that flew off the shelves after he wore it to the British Music Awards. At least you don’t have to guess a password this time.
