While the NHL consisted of 10 teams prior to 1920, when the Great Depression struck, it forced multiple programs to break away, leaving the league with just six squads: the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Black Hawks. In commemoration of these original six teams, Concepts and Mitchell & Ness have joined forces for a special capsule.
The imprints chose to utilize basketball jerseys with each team logo stamped on the front. The mesh tops are accompanied by mesh bucket hats, which feature the same branding. Both Concepts and Mitchell & Ness tagging can be seen on the bottom left of each jersey, as you'll be able to shop the joint range beginning at noon EST on Friday, June 5 at Concepts in New York. The sale runs through that Sunday.
