Editor’s Notes: The black Converse One Star is a classic – there's no contesting that – but this limited-edition version adds a bit more excitement into the design mix. Done out with a black suede upper, these kicks get their head-turning credentials from a grey-band detail across its toe-cap, which extends onto a distressed looking midsole.

This make-shift, pre-loved aesthetic has become common with sneaker in recent times, with high-end brands such as Acne Studios, Maison Margiela, and even Gucci releasing sneakers that seem to have been through it before they hit the shelves. The design move might not be such a bad thing, especially with a popular beater silhouette such as the One Star, relinquishing some of the pressure to keep them squeaky clean.

We're yet to spot the kicks at any major retailers yet, but Vrients is currently home to the best deal with a price tag of $144. Click through below for a closer look.
