Brand: adidas Originals by Olivia Oblanc
Key Pieces: Olivia Oblanc has reworked adidas Originals’ adicolor series with gender-fluid silhouettes that pull inspiration from loud colors of workwear garments. These pieces are featured in a palette of blues, reds, and yellows.
Editor’s Notes: A followup to the Daniëlle Cathari-designed collection, adidas Originals partners with another emerging designer in Olivia Oblanc for a new SS19 release. At the core, the 15-piece gender-fluid collection draws inspiration from New York, with styles that defy traditional design conventions.
adidas Originals by Olivia Oblanc debuted at a special presentation in London, as adidas Originals brand ambassador Kendall Jenner worked alongside Oblanc to creative direct the coinciding campaign.
Oblanc draws upon loud colors of workwear garments, thus reimagining adidas Originals sportswear staples. The SS19 collection is filled with blues, reds, and yellows, highlighted on functionally-focused silhouettes. Various styles from the assortment also feature construction from Parlay’s recycled fabrics.
adidas Originals by Olivia Oblanc releases globally on November 17 through adidas.com, at select adidas Originals flagships, and at select retailers including Barney’s, Dover Street Market, KITH, NAKED, Nordstrom, Pam Pam, Selfridges, and YME.
