In an interesting new collaboration, PUMA has teamed up with KICKS LAB from Japan, which started as a sneaker trade show in 2007 and went on to become one of the most recognized Japanese sneaker retailers from 2008 onwards. Originally launched in the mid '80s, KICKS LAB chose to work on a special version of the First Round Lo basketball shoe by PUMA. The trademark logo stripe features a traditional Japanese fabric called "Nishijin" - a craft created in Kyoto over 1,200 years ago using many different types of colored yarns and weaving them together to produce beautiful, intricate designs. Japanese artisans enlisted in this task have created and produced two exclusive colorways for the collaborative project - one in gold and one in silver. Wrapped in a special wooden box, the KICKS LAB x PUMA First Round Lo "KL NISHIJIN" Made In Japan is available in limited numbers from KICKS LAB Japan and is priced at $170.
