Kith / BMW

Kith's collaboration with BMW extends beyond that of a comprehensive apparel collection. The Ronnie Fieg-led brand has also teamed up with the luxury vehicle company to release a limited edition BMW M4 Competition coupe.

The M4 Competition incorporates numerous design elements from Fieg's personal E30 generation BMW M3 and the one-of-one Cinnabar Red M4 Design Study by Kith. The production model also has standout elements unique to itself.

Featured on the vehicle is a co-branded BMW badge, as this is the first time the car company has allowed a collaborator to alter its iconic logo. Here, the insignia boasts an extra ring around the BMW roundel in light blue, dark blue, and red, as well as lettering that points to Kith and the collaboration. Furthermore, the M4 Competition's rear deck lid is adorned with a black Kith logo with the iconic tri-color BMW M stripes.

The all-wheel-drive M4 Competition is powered by BMW M’s TwinPower Turbo 3.0 Liter inline-six cylinder engine, which cranks out over 500 horsepower. Inside you will find Kith-embossed black merino leather and multicolor ambient mood lighting, as well as a cutting-edge infotainment system connected to BMW's Intelligent Personal Assistant and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

“Everything we work on at Kith has to come from an authentic place,” said Kith founder Ronnie Fieg. “Some of my favorite memories from growing up came from going to visit my grandfather and riding around in his BMWs in the 1980s. I remember he had an E21 320i and that his prized possession was a white E30 M3. These moments in my life really shaped my passion for BMW, so working on this project with them has brought everything full circle.”

The Kith x BMW M4 Competition comes in matte paint finishes of Frozen Black, Frozen Dark Silver, and Frozen Brilliant White, and is limited to just 150 units worldwide. Pre-order for the vehicle, which starts at $109,250, begins today, October 23, as the M4 will arrive in 2021 as model year 2022 vehicle.
