Jordan Brand

Jordan Brand today unveiled its lineup of player exclusive sneakers ahead of this year’s NCAA March Madness. Players from some of the top Nike-sponsored universities are more than taken care of with both on-court and an off-court PEs.

Each college basketball player for the Universities of Michigan, Florida, North Carolina Chapel Hill, Oklahoma, Marquette and Georgetown will receive a pair of Nike Air Jordan 4 PEs and Why Not? Zer0.2s that have been dressed in their respective schools’ colors.

While the colorways vary, each pair of Air Jordan 4s features a suede upper with speckled detailing on portions of the midsole and lacing cage. Icy blue translucent outsoles complete the look. The Why Not? Zer0.2 follows a similar color scheme, with a speckled, grey upper and colored sock liners and outsoles.

As player exclusive editions, these sneakers will not be released to the public. The idea of college players getting PE sneakers is nothing new. Because of their scarcity, pairs that do make their way onto the resell market command a hefty fee. NBA player P. J. Tucker is well known for getting his hands on even the most exclusive college player exclusive Jordans and even lacing them up in the NBA.

In August of last year, 13 UNC players were suspended for reselling their player edition sneakers.
