Editor’s Notes: HATHENBRUCK(TM), the offshoot brand of Salt Lake City, Utah-based retailer Hathenbruck, has created a bespoke version of Nike’s Mach Runner. The Nike x HATHENBRUCK(TM) Walkers isn't an official collaboration but rather Hathenbruck founder Caleb Flowers’ take on what he calls “the most basic Nike shoe we could find.”

The nickname Walkers comes a Stanford University study, which found that creative thinking improves while a person is walking and shortly afterward, so Flowers decided to make something affordable that's comfortable to walk around in. As he puts it, “The Walkers are footwear for the mind.”

The release is part of HATHENBRUCK(TM)’s BIGDATA(TM) v10.10.1 project, a digital product that includes a virtual audio tour of Flowers sharing inspirations, ideas, and experiences with launches of products such as the Walkers.

HATHENBRUCK(TM) most famously made a small run of DripMax 1s and 2s customized from the Nike Air VaporMax.

Check out the sneakers above and watch for them to drop again in very limited quantities on Saturday, March 30 for $88.
