It Rains, It Pours – Norse Projects Launches the "Falling Water" Capsule
Proving its efficiency at tackling inclement weather conditions, Norse Projects ups the ante on its Spring/Summer 2022 delivery with the four-piece "Overcoming Elements" capsule collection series.
What better way to prove you've got a handle on the weather than proving it not once, but four times, back-to-back? That's the thinking adopted by Norse Projects as it embarks on a journey that runs parallel to its functional-first, color-clad SS22 collection, which dropped earlier this year.
The four-parter, which is already underway, has been dubbed "Overcoming Elements," and rightly so.
Centered on an adaptive range of technical garments, each capsule has been specifically tailored to tackle an element of weathering head-on. No sacrifice on style, no diversion from the quality for which the brand is known, just high-performance rooted in solutions-based technologies.
For the second drop, "Falling Water," long-time partner of Norse Projects and globally renowned wet weather avengers, GORE-TEX, is the focus. The selection sees a GORE-TEX membrane applied to lightweight recycled outer fabrics with DWR waterproof coating on classic Norse styles, the NUNK and FYN shell jackets.
Updated for SS22, the FYN features re-engineered pockets and trims, complete with increased storage capacity, which can be used modularly with the Alta and Otto styles for a four-season alternative to a heavy down jacket. Alternatively, the NUNK is a mid-length jacket inspired by 60’s mountain parkas, with four front pockets which offer utilitarian storage with a stripped-back, minimal aesthetic.
Both styles are available now in "Black," "Deep Sea Green," and "Chrome Yellow" via the Norse Projects online store.
