Style
Where the runway meets the street

Location: Florence, Italy

Season: SS19

Key Looks: The Virgil x Nike heat in #1 is an obvious choice, but props to our guys in #2 and #3 for rocking dungarees at fashion week. The deep burgundy corduroy joints in #4 are a good spin on what’s normally a pretty boring wardrobe staple, and Mr Suits-and-Shorts in #7 effortlessly proves that breezy calves don’t have to come at the expense of sprezzatura.

Editor’s Notes: Pitti Uomo is, officially, a menswear trade show, but it’s most famous for its next-level street style antics. Guys from all over the globe descend on Florence to not only do business, but to make sure they get their photo taken while doing so. Summer in Florence can get to scorching levels of heat, so, unsurprisingly, many Pitti peacocks commit menswear sacrilege by baring their legs. From sporty to chic, the looks on show here prove that, despite what conservative traditionalists might say, wearing shorts doesn’t have to come at the expense of style.
