Dutch designer Careaux has made a name for herself as one of the go-to creators of high-femme street style. And as a self-confessed sneakerhead (a claim her work supports), she seems an ideal choice for a sportswear collaboration. PUMA took the bait, and the brand has just unveiled a collaborative set of sneakers that sees the Careaux aesthetic wrought in beautiful detail across some of its most iconic silhouettes.
Careaux set her sights on three separate sneaker creations for PUMA. First up is the Duplex OG, a running sneaker first imagined in the ‘90s. This updated version is available in black or white suede, with a touch of gold branding on a leather heel for that extra oomph. Continuing her exploration of suede, Careaux took to the PUMA Suede sneaker for her next model - one that arrives in either black, white or luscious rose. The final piece of the collection is an update on the Blaze of Glory sneaker, one that sports a signature rose print (called the “Dedication Flower”) and is finished off with PUMA’s Trinomic tooling and perforated leather.
Look out for the PUMA x Careaux collection to arrive in select retail locations and the brand’s online store on August 6.
