PUMA

PUMA and Liberty connect in celebration; bringing together a group of creatives in a showcase of female empowerment, bolstered by a bold collection of camo-inspired floral apparel and sneakers.

Spring/Summer 2022 marks a new beginning as PUMA and Liberty cross paths for the second time to deliver a female-first collaborative collection. The pair's mission lies in a belief that individuality and empowerment lay in power, growth, and a fearless free-spirit, qualities reflected in the talents that play muse to the collection's campaign.

Aesthetically, the collection takes Liberty's iconic florals and reimagines them as a camouflage of sorts, creating a lineup of printed pleated skirts, wide-leg pants, graphic tees, leotards, all-over print sweatshirts and pants, and a selection of outerwear.

A palette of green and off-white is offset with touches of red and yellow, which extends to the collection's sneaker options, including the Mayze and Suede Mayu Slipon.

Giving life to the collection are four talents – Ami Evelyn Hughes, Deba, Taya Francis, and Bones Tan Jones. Together they make up a collection of women diverse in culture and identity; that came together to discuss what empowerment means to them as individuals.

Taya (a textile designer) shared her thoughts, saying: "What empowers me is to see people living their true authentic selves. I think how I empower other people is trying to lift that standard myself as well and being quite aware of that, like taking a course in university that my parents may not have wanted me to do and just going for the creative subject that I wanted to do rather than something more academic."

For the Founder of London-based cult art magazine GUT, Ami, being empowered is simple: "Someone actually just listening to you. It sounds so simple, but it just really makes you feel strong and worthwhile when people care about you, and they actually listen to what you're saying."

The PUMA x Liberty Spring/Summer 2022 collection is available to shop online now.
