What better way to celebrate than with a triumphant buffet of culture and pizza?

Last Friday during Paris Fashion Week,  PUMA and Newco Studio Practice® joined forces at Sonny’s pizza for a pop-up to celebrate the latest ‘WHO’S WHO’: Paris edition.

Following on from their first two books centered on London and NYC, the new release hones in on the bustling creative scene of the French capital, giving some well-deserved love to local talents that are fearlessly doing their thing while shaping the cultural scene in the process.

The premise of the book collection is to spotlight the 50th anniversary of the legendary PUMA Clyde. Back in 1971, PUMA signed a deal with basketball legend Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier, creating a sneaker that steadily grew into the streetwear favorite of the ‘90s (and is still loved across the world today). WHO’S WHO honors the PUMA Clyde’s cultural footprint by offering it up as a canvas for the creative minds in the book. Alongside exclusive snapshots into the lives and work of the talented bunch, you’ll get their personal perspectives on the Clyde and what it means to them.

The book’s development, design, and editorial were spearheaded by Rob Cristofaro, creator of Newco Studio Practice® and founding member of trailblazing streetwear institution Alife®. As an artist himself, he values support between creatives and makes it a governing factor in all his projects. Among the 50-plus people featured in the book, you’ll find a diverse range of pioneers who are rocking the boat in music, fashion, art, and more.

“I’ve acted as a curator within New York’s creative community for over twenty years' ' says Cristofaro, “We started ALIFE as an incubator for untapped talent in downtown NYC—but quickly evolved into a platform for creatives around the world. This book serves as a guide to contemporary talent while honoring that same tenacious spirit we embodied twenty years ago”.

To mark the launch of the Paris edition, PUMA and Newco Studio Practice® gathered at Sonny’s in collaboration with Starcow store (the sneaker and streetwear specialists), to enjoy food and drink on tap, all to the tunes of Starcow’s resident DJ. The pop-up, just like the book, was a space for the community to come together, empower each other and find new inspiration for their work.

Whether you love reading about your favorite local legends or unearthing new underground talents to follow, this book is for you.
