Below you’ll find a selection of the week’s dopest lookbooks, featuring polymathic French brand Maison Kitsuné, as well as a gritty new editorial starring Yeezy Season 5 model Sasha Melnychuk from buzzy Moscow-based concept store SVMOSCOW.

INMINDSEYE

Season: “1990neverAGAIN”

Key Pieces: The stonewash logo T-shirt and the ice-white hoodie.

Editor’s Notes: This Australian brand peddles alt-lifestyle garb and its focus is on creating limited edition pieces of each style, privileging exclusivity over mass appeal. The latest collection is a solid offering of clean streetwear staples, all exacted with the brand’s youthful vision in tow.

GRINDLONDON

Season: Spring/Summer 2017

Key Pieces: The graphic T-shirt featuring some throwback “Microsoft Office WordArt-esque” typography and the super soft brushed Thai cotton twill jacket.

Editor’s Notes: GRINDLONDON has perfected an honest and relatable approach to ‘road-ready’ menswear, expertly mixing original concepts with the brand’s own roots and culture. It’s one of the few London-based streetwear upstarts that disavows any technical trends, and embraces London’s kaleidoscopic history of style-based subcultures, from both the past and present.

GoodGoodGood

Season: Fall/Winter 2017

Key Pieces: The crisp, white T-shirt for easy breezy steez and the striped shirt and trouser set is sublime.

Editor’s Notes: This South-African menswear brand is all about the functional basics. Everything is produced entirely in Cape Town, and its easy-to-wear, versatile staples should be the founding sartorial principles of any considered wardrobe arsenal.

Season: The ‘Afterlife’ Collection

Key Pieces: The side-buckle pants made out of repurposed nylon is excellent, and the honeycomb jersey knit pocket shorts is ideal for summer’s cooler days.

Editor’s Notes: This LA-based brand is more of a platform, rather than a fashion label in any traditional sense. While the brand takes a non-seasonal approach to fashion, its dictum at large is to start an unlikely conversation about the topic of mental illness.

Using light therapy as a medium in both its installations and clothing, the brand’s goal is to make ’13’ vulnerable. By leaving its own output exposed, it gives its audience permission to expose their own emotions too, allowing them to feel ‘safe’ and begin their healing process.

HYMNE

Season: Spring/Summer 2017

Key Pieces: The beige ‘Scars’ hoodie, and the gray grandpa cardigan.

Editor’s Notes: This LA-based brand might only be two-years-old, but it’s already emerged as a firm favorite among the likes of Jaden Smith and Kendrick Lamar. For its latest outing, the brand takes a more minimal approach, while still offering plenty of antiestablishment messaging, it’s all exacted with a simple, pared-back graphic treatment.

Maison Kitsuné

Season: Fall/Winter 2017

Key Pieces: The striped high-neck sweater and easy graphic varsity jacket.

Editor’s Notes: Maison Kitsuné, the fashion line of lifestyle emporium/record label Kitsuné, draws on the best of American pop culture for SS17. The latest seasonal delivery is filled with a number of menswear favorites as well as a sporty take on must-have classics.

MISCHIEF

Season: Spring/Summer 2017

Key Pieces: The white T-shirt featuring the brand’s regal serif logo front and center, and that motocross inspired leather jacket is dreamy.

Editor’s Notes: This Korean brand expertly mirrors today’s zeitgeist for remixed trends with a solid reimagining of ‘90s staples, all made from recycled vintage fabrics, bags, and accessories.

PLYS


Season: Fall/Winter 2017

Key Pieces: The blue and white mohair sweater and white turtle neck with neon orange lining are delicious.

Editor’s Notes: PLYS is the brainchild of Lee Joon, a South Korean-born designer, who studied at Central St Martins and now calls Berlin home. The brand’s latest offering isseeped in plenty of eye-popping neon colors and it’s a sartorial antidote to Berlin’s perpetual gray winter.

SVMOSCOW Spring 2017 Editorial

Season: Spring/Summer 2017

Key Pieces: The boxy, brown leather trench is standout.

Editor’s Notes: The Moscow-based concept store returns with a new editorial starring Yeezy Season 5 model Sasha Melnychuk, and it features women’s and men’s collections by Raf Simons, Balenciaga, The Row, Vetements, Maison Margiela, Undercover, Haider Ackermann, CDG and Junya Watanabe.

Team Cozy

Season: Spring/Summer 2017

Key Pieces: The hooded box-logo khaki coat and the satin coach jacket are standout.

Editor’s Notes: Team Cozy, the polymathic online platform helmed by Ta-ku and Bludshot, morphs between being an online community, a movement, a creative agency and a lifestyle brand. Now, the streetwear insiders have returned with another robust offering of lounge and street ready spring staples.
