Where the runway meets the street

Taking the reigns from Riccardo Tisci after 12 years under the French house, Claire Waight Keller debuted her first collection as Givenchy’s artistic director  in the Palais de Justice in Paris last night. The romantic location was apt for SS18, as the former creative designer at Chloé presented elegant collars, bold shoulders, split-hem trousers and various animal and nature prints rendered in black, white, vermillion and navy.

For menswear, the tailoring was cut to needle-thin proportions with shiny fabrics in a pallet of fire engine red, burgundy and midnight blue, complimented with impactful outerwear (see white leather gilet), a lip motif and a low key animal print.
