What We’re Saying: German footwear retailer 43einhalb has been blessed with the chance to collaborate on adidas Originals’ ZX 10.000. For this project, 43einhalb co-founders Oliver Baumgart and Mischa Krewer have taken inspiration from friendships and journeys in the great outdoors with those closest to you.

The release of the “Joint Path” ZX 10.000 coincides with 43einhalb’s 10th anniversary, making the drop all the sweeter for those involved. Topographical maps and varied landscapes are the inspiration for the colors used across the sneaker. Dark gray represents cityscapes and Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where 43einhalb has a store. Sandy tones are a nod to beaches, rocks, and mountains. Blue, pretty self-explanatory, represents rivers and the sea, while green embodies forests and fields.

Other details include the adidas trefoil logo on the tongue that has been modified to include the fleur-de-lis of Fulda, the town in which 43einhalb was founded. 43einhalb’s logo is also present on the heel.
