For SS21 Burberry finds its roots in the British countryside. The collection, entitled “In Bloom”, illustrates the duality between the natural and the fashioned, representing the house’s past and its present. Signature trench coats are updated with industrial materials to present the dual identity of an evolving Burberry. The lookbook followed the same path, transposing images taken in a British woodland with raw studio shots taken by Juergen Teller.
“It began with a thought of British summertime; embracing the elements with a trench coat on the beach mixing with the sand and the water,” explains Creative Officer Ricardo Tisci. Thanks to this functional, down-to-earth approach, Burberry SS21 is an effortless fit with the contemporary wardrobe, stying as easily with luxury tailoring as track pants and a hoodie.
