A$AP Rocky stars in Mercedes-Benz's latest advertising campaign, opening up about the murder of his older brother and the inspiration behind his ascent to the top of the rap world.

The captivating video traces Rocky's roots in Harlem, New York, from eating fruit loops as a child to signing autographs while leant on his pristine Benz. "Dreams can come at a price. But hard work can pay off," Mercedes says in the accompanying press release. "This is the true story about a boy named Rakim [Rocky's real name] who blazed his own trail to the top with nothing but a dream beat."

Rocky's brother, Ricky, was shot in killed when he was just 20-years-old. Rocky, 13 at the time, was on his way to school when his mother rushed over to tell him. The commerical, which arrives as a part of Mercedes-Benz's new "Grow Up" campaign, explains how Ricky inspired Rocky to bigger and better things. Watch above.
