Highsnobiety

Not all Air Max are built the same. Physically, sure; but more so culturally; and few silhouettes in the Swoosh's extensive family can match up to the cultural imprint of the Air Max 95.

Iconic, to say the very least, 95s are taken on a life of their own in the UK, adopted as a subcultural uniform up and down the nation, filtering into the lyrics of premier grime and drill artists across generations, and never faltering from relevance.

Still called 110s by many, thanks to their once-upon-a-time pricetag of £110, the availability of 95s on the high street have never been an issue; the availability of its best looks, however? That's certainly had its shakier years.

Now, with palettes such as last year's "Dark Beetroot" serving the streets with a reminder of what it is that we're all so fond of in the UK where 95s are concerned, it feels like they're undergoing a much-deserved renewed time in the spotlight.

Although the silhouette's 30th birthday remains another two years ahead of us, Nike's gearing up for a strong year of Air Max 95 releases worthy of a look in – here's some of what's to come so far.

OG Resupply "Triple White" – Available now

Disregard the truth month; summer is almost here. Wishful thinking aside, you can't go wrong with a fresh pair of "Triple White" 95s for the brighter months of the year. If you ask me, these beat out white Air Force 1 Lows every time.

"Chilli Red" – 2023

It doesn't get much more classic than this. If you're looking for a palette that emulates the magic of the "Neon," this is it.

With brightly saturated touches of red filling the sneaker's details, this is an OG look that'll demand compliments.

Next Nature "Stadium Green" – 2023

The same can be said of this palette as the "Chilli Red" – perfection is an easy art where 95s are concerned.

CORTEIZ – March 2023

A love letter from London to the Air Max 95. If trying to understand the UK's relationship with the shoe, this upcoming release says it all.

"Triple Black" Leather – 2023

It can feel a little "off" when a pair of 95s features leather instead of suede and lacks a gradient side wall, but when wrapped in a stealthy black finish, it's impossible to complain.

"Reflective Safari" – March 1

For those that want to make a statement with their sneakers, this is the type of 95 that gets the job done.

"ICONS Pack" – 2023

Here, the name says it all. Mirroring the blocking of the iconic "Neon," everything about this is iconic.

If only the lace loops were the same bright yellow as the Swoosh.

"Wolf Grey 2023" – 2023

Anyone that's owned several pairs of Air Max 95s has owned a pair of "Wolf Greys."

No matter where in the UK you live, you'll see plenty of pairs kicking about the city center, either on feet or stocked up in JD Sports. They're a staple pair and for 2023, the grey hues look better than ever.

"Kiss My Airs Metallic Silver" – 2023

Another pair of 95s featuring the iconic Nike "Safari" print. Could this be a sign of a larger comeback for the pattern? Perhaps.

"Midnight Navy Jewel" – 2023

If you want to keep it casual, this pair will do the trick. A far cry from the beloved gradients of greyscale pairs, the desirability here resides in the jewel Swoosh towards the heel. Always a welcomed detail.
