Editor’s Notes: The “Syracuse” and “Kentucky” Nike Dunk Lows have been officially released by Nike, after teasers by the likes of Travis Scott, University of Kentucky’s John Calipari, and Devin Booker over the past few months. Both colorways are nods to universities that were part of Nike’s original “Be True To Your School” Dunk pack. The pack was released in 1985 and comprised seven Dunk Highs made for Nike-sponsored schools University of Michigan, University of Kentucky, University of Iowa, Georgetown, Syracuse, St. John’s and UNLV.

The release of both a “Kentucky” and a “Syracuse” in low-top form suggest that Nike could be bringing back retros of all sevens schools in 2020. Virgil Abloh’s recent Dunk pack also included Michigan and UNLV colorways.
