It sounds like Quentin Tarantino's potentially R-rated Star Trek movie might star the cast from J.J. Abrams’ rebooted “Kelvin timeline” Trek movies — at least, that's what star Zachary Quinto (aka Commander Spock) told MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast recently.

“My assumption is that it is with us," he said. "That is how it has been presented.” Meaning that Quinto would be returning alongside Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, John Cho and the other cast.

"You know, until deals are done and contracts are signed and schedules are cleared, nothing is set in stone, so anything can happen," Quinto continued. "My understanding is Quentin had this idea and they were shaping it and forming it, and he is off to do his [Charles] Manson movie. And it would be after that that we would go maybe do one with him. Which is pretty exciting [and] pretty cool."
