Highsnobiety

It's the weekend, baby!

Another hectic week on planet Earth. As temperatures across the UK and Europe scorched to record highs, celebrities across the pond gave ample demonstration of seasonal dress – from The Rock's tiny vests and big pants, Bella Hadid's shorts to rule them all, and Brad Pitt let it breathe with a switch to skirts. Oh, and Highsnobiety's shop staff offered up their takes on heat-appropriate dress, too!

While Ye sent his fanbase into a frenzy with a fully loaded stock of YEEZY GAP Engineered by Balenciaga across the States, sneakerheads were (once again) spoilt for choice with heavy artillery of new releases. In short – Reebok's Classic Leather underwent UNITED ARROWS surgery, KITH recalled its grandparent's favorite needlepoint work, Teddy Santis reminded us were all in a Made in USA chokehold, Crocs tackled all-terrain, Nike Air Rifts crept back into the spotlight, Craig Green joined adidas for a spot of squash, and SUICOKE got the Missoni treatment.

Oh! and we all took a collective L on the Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s.

But alas, it's not all about sneakers. As we approach the start of the football season (soccer, my stateside friends), sports led the way, we lept into the world of the sport's most fashionable team as Venezia FC dropped yet another banger of a kit, Sam Kerr knocked it top bins as the first global female cover star of EA Sports' FIFA, and Drake's Nike-backed NOCTA inserted itself into the world of basketball.

Honestly, that's barely scratching the surface of another week of madness. While we recover, get your fix below – we'll be waiting on the other side.

The Rock Makes a Case for Rocking Tiny Tops & Big Slacks

"Seeing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as he's known, strolling into the Jimmy Kimmel Live greenroom on July 20, I wondered: "Is it mandatory to look like The Rock to pull off a baby blue tank top and pleated pants?" My determination: No, but it certainly helps."

Activating the Chakras with Lil Silva

"Lil Silva begins each day by reminding himself of five positive things that are happening in his life. It’s a simple exercise that provides a stark contrast to the way that so many days begin; perhaps a run down of the to-do list, or a doom scroll through the newsfeed. It helps Silva to stay rooted in the present and to enter each tomorrow with a lightness, leaving the bulk of yesterday behind."

Inside Venezia FC, Football's Most Fashionable Club

"Last year when Italian side Venezia FC dropped its kits prior to the 2021/22 season, it marked a new era for the club, which was returning to Serie A for the first time in twenty years. And while the season ended in hard-fought relegation back to the second tier, it did deliver some of the greatest kits in memory."

Inside Denim Tears' One-Day-Only Levi's Collab Launch

"No one does collaborative collections like Tremaine Emory. The Supreme creative director and his Denim Tears label are responsible for an array of provocative partnerships intelligently designed to get fans involved in Emory's exploration of "the intersection between fashion and African American history," which he terms the African diaspora."

Kiko Kostadinov ASICS? We'll Take Them All, Thanks

"Let's face it – Kiko Kostadinov is the best thing to ever happen to ASICS. A bold claim, sure, but given how much heat has flown out of the brand's doors since the British designer stepped into the fold, both through his seasonal third-party collaborations and in-house tinkering as a creative lead for ASICS Sportstyle, it's a difficult one to dispute."

Argue Amongst Yourselves, These are the Best-Dressed Stranger Things Cast Members

"While the die-hard fans have already binged their way through the entirety of season 4, I'm at the midway point through the newest Stranger Things season, and instead of thinking about the upside down, the question that is plaguing me is: which cast member is the best dressed?"
