After debuting Parley football uniforms last year, adidas and the University of Miami have joined forces once again, this time for new baseball jerseys that are composed of repurposed and upcycled materials created in partnership with Parley for the Oceans.
The first-ever adidas x Parley Miami baseball jerseys feature 100% recycled polyester mesh, and were produced to further raise awareness of marine plastic pollution. In terms of its design, the silhouettes are rendered in the Hurricanes’ signature colors with dark green and orange, while “Miami” is embroidered across the chest, along with the player numbers on the back.
In addition, the eco-friendly apparel is complemented with the brand’s new adidas x Parley adizero Afterburner 5.0 and Icon cleats, both touted as the “first-ever high-performance baseball cleats made from upcycled plastic materials.”
You can see the new baseball jerseys and footwear in action when it debuts at the Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field on the University of Miami campus when the Hurricanes take on Virginia Tech on April 26.
