To go alongside the “XENO BOREALIS” pack and the Primeknit "Glow-In-The-Dark" delivery, adidas will also be releasing the "Aurora Borealis Triple White" collection in conjunction with NBA All-Star Weekend. The drop features the D Lillard 2 and T-MAC 3, each of which draws inspiration from Toronto’s cool winter climate and the Northern Lights that paint the sky in upper parts of Canada. Much like the other Three Stripes pack that are arriving during the NBA All-Star festivities, the D Lillard 2 and T-MAC 3 boasts glow-in-the-dark aspects.
The D Lillard 2 notes all-white tooling, Primeknit upper construction and Boost cushioning in the heel. Blue hits on the heel and outsole in turn meet a gradient green fade along the upper.
The T-MAC 3 celebrates Tracy McGrady's time spent in Toronto with the Raptors from 1997 to 2000. The sneaker, however, was truly made famous when Tracy donned two different colors at the same time during the 2004 NBA All-Star game in Los Angeles. For that, two colorways of the T-MAC 3 have been created for this year's occasion, each boasting a glow-in-the-dark upper and either blue or green outsoles.
adidas' "Aurora Borealis Triple White" collection is scheduled to arrive on February 11 at Foot Locker, Eastbay and on adidas.com. Retail for each sneaker is $150 USD.
