Recently presented at Pitti Uomo 89, adidas Originals has unveiled the latest step in its continued partnership with White Mountaineering, this time putting pen to paper with the Japanese brand for a full seasonal collection.
On the Three Stripes side of things, VP of Global Design and our very own Most Influential Person of 2015, Nic Galway worked with White Mountaineering’s Yosuke Aizawa to reinterpret adidas’s aesthetic DNA while keeping the White Mountaineering design philosophy intact.
Using classic sportswear silhouettes as their foundation, the runway show showcased a range of pointedly contemporary designs in a spectrum of dark, earthy hues. These were contrasted with the unmistakable stripe motif, while many of the extended, slim cuts were adorned with subtle camouflage.
The footwear offerings include new takes on the Forum Hi, Rod Laver and EQT Running silhouettes, while a new flip on the latest adidas Originals silhouette NMD is also included. Check out the video below for an immersive look at the show, while detailed shots of the collaborative footwear are also included.
