Following up on The Splits, adidas Skateboarding is back in Japan to take to the streets of one of their favorite cities, Tokyo. In new skate film RŌZU or Rose, we find Dennis Busenitz, Silas Baxter-Neal, Rodrigo Teixeira, Mark Suciu, Gustav Tønnesen and other team riders welcoming Diego Nájera to the adi Skateboarding family.

With emphasis placed on the spontaneity of a nocturnal Tokyo, the project was shot on a specially constructed, heat sensing camera that captures the longer wavelengths of Infrared Radiation from organic materials. The final edit then showcases vibrant rose tones and unmatched hues.

In addition to some of Tokyo’s most familiar, iconic spots, the Three Stripes team also hit up various lesser known areas. Press play above to watch RŌZU.

adidas Skateboarding is also celebrating the signing of its first female pro rider, Nora Vasconcellos, with an upcoming short film.

Not NYC, not LA.
