In yet more heartening sneaker news, adidas x Parley have paired up for another environmentally conscious collaboration; this time in the form of an Uncaged Ultra Boost silhouette made primarily of ocean plastic.

adidas previously tapped the ocean pollution awareness organization for an Ultra Boost and Pure Boost X last month, but the Uncaged Parley will be the first to go to mass-production, with 7,000 pairs slated for public sale. That number is just a drop in the ocean (no pun intended), however, as adidas aims to produce 1 million pairs by the end of 2017, according to CEO Eric Liedtke.

The sneaker itself features a white Primeknit upper constructed of 95 percent ocean plastic, white BOOST sole and green accents on the heel. The laces, heel cap and sock liner were made from materials retrieved by Parley during coastal operations in the Maldives.

Aside from this, the duo has also released a set of environmental jerseys which two of the biggest soccer clubs in the world — Bayern Munich and Real Madrid — will wear in matches later this month. Peruse those in the gallery above.

Look out for the Uncaged Parley dropping mid-November on the adidas website for around $222. Until then, check out this maroon iteration of the Uncaged Boost.
