Model: ZX 4000 4D “I Want, I Can”
Key Features: The ZX 4000 4D, while obviously a contemporary silhouette with its Primeknit upper and 4D Futurecraft tooling, proudly incorporates aspects from the original ZX footwear line from the ’80s and ’90s. Pops of neon orange and blue, hallmarks of the ZX line, are seen on the tongue, heel, and lateral sides of the shoes, standing in stark contrast to a more muted grey and black upper. Part of the original marketing campaign for adidas’s ZX series, the phrases “I Want” and “I Can” are printed on the lateral sides, giving the sneaker a mismatched quality.
Release Date: September 14
Price: $300 / €300
Editor’s Notes: adidas continues to bring out new colorways of its ZX 4000 4D sneaker, this time opting for a mismatched colorway that features the phrases “I Want” and “I Can” across the outside of each shoe. With the ZX 4000 4D, adidas takes a sneaker that debuted in the late ’80s and gives it a contemporary spin, adding a Primeknit upper and 4D Futurecraft tooling.
