Model: Dunk High
Release Date: May 18 in Japan and worldwide, and June 15 in North America
What We’re Saying: Yoon Ahn broke our collective hearts earlier in the year when she unveiled an AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High “Chicago” colorway, only to reveal in the caption that the sneaker would not be for sale to the wider public. Now, however, we can look forward to a new colorway of the sneaker, one that somewhat rivals another iconic Air Jordan 1.
With Yoon’s black and white iteration selling out instantly and the all-pink version of the co-branded Dunk High following suit, it makes perfect sense for Nike and the AMBUSH founder to continue their fruitful partnership with further iterations. We’ve seen Nike do the same with new colorways of Jerry Lorenzo’s collabs in the past, and everyone knows how much Nike squeezed the Virgil Abloh collab for all it is worth.
The "Royal Blue" pair is the latest in the pipeline from Yoon and the Swoosh, as we finally have official images of the colorway after only previously seeing teasers. Following the emergence of product images, Ahn has shared release information for the pair, while retailers like END. are already holding a raffle for the shoe. The Dunks will be available through AMBUSHDESIGN.com, Nike.com, and SNKRS as well.
Per usual, you'll want to make sure you buy from an authorized source, as Yoon has already issued a warning about fakes. "Careful. See lotta fakes. Real comes with blue label," she said on Twitter.
While you wait to secure your pair, you can check out a collection of 2021's best Dunks so far here.
