After having shared two posts on Instagram that seemed to suggest the actor and newly minted director has something planned with adidas, Jonah Hill has now confirmed the partnership on the latest episode of Failing Upwards’ podcast.

At around the 29 minute mark of the podcast, which you can listen to for free here, Jonah is asked about how successful his movie, Mid90s, will be. Hill likened the expected success of his critically-acclaimed film to his work with adidas, saying: “When I say we’re on a yellow light with adidas, we’re on full green light with Mid90s.”

He followed that up at the 31 minute mark while discussing Hypefest, his appearance there, and how the culture has developed from when he was younger and trying to find a store to buy Jordans: “The fact that [an event like Hypefest] is real, that’s fucking cool. On a huge level, like that I’m going to promote a film or that I’m working with adidas.”

So, it’s safe to say that Jonah Hill has confirmed he is working with adidas, however, he did not mention in what capacity or whether there would be something to look out for in the short-term future.

The caption on one of the two posts Hill shared that started the speculation read, “Something fun coming from me and adidas?” Check out the post below.

The sneakers Hill is wearing were also shared in an earlier post in which he thanked adidas for hooking him up. The new silhouette boasts chunkier midsole with purple Three Stripes on a predominantly white upper with hits of black and gray.

Hill, of course, is no stranger to big brands and the world of fashion. He has been dubbed a streetwear ’fit god on multiple occasions and is often seen rocking brands such as Palace, even appearing in the brand’s lookbook and teaser video for its Reebok collaboration. Reebok is owned by adidas.

As always, stay tuned for updates and leave your thoughts Hill’s Instagram hints in the comments.
