Editor’s Notes: Ronnie Fieg took to Twitter to tease what looks like an upcoming three-way collaboration with nonnative and New Balance. What was previously believed to be just a 997 turns out to be a wider collection comprising six sneakers. One half of the collection has been designed in collaboration with United Arrows, while the other half is in collaboration with nonnative.
The KITH founder usually teases his upcoming projects on social media before an official release, but with no concrete details or official word, it’s hard to say when this specific sneaker will ultimately be released.
In early September Fieg posted a picture of a New Balance 997, which has yet to be released. That sneaker, which was designed in collaboration with United Arrows, was modeled after the Japanese brand’s collaboration from 2009, the NB997.5 — incidentally one of Kanye West’s favorite New Balances.
Now Fieg has confirmed that both parts of the collection will release soon, with release information in the caption of the two Instagram posts below.
