Levi's Vintage

Levi's Vintage has dipped into its archives to create a limited edition version of its classic 501 jean constructed entirely from Japanese selvedge denim.

The design is a replica of the popular 1966 501 jeans which were first released in Japan in the ’90s, and saw a similar limited edition release to mark the opening of the brand's store in Harajuku last year.

Limited to 150 pairs worldwide, the Levi's Vintage Clothing 1966 'Japan' 501 jeans are made from 12 oz Japanese selvedge denim with silver and copper-tone hardware, a mid-rise fit, contrast stitching, and a tapered leg.

To celebrate the fact that all Levi's shrink-to-fit fabrics will be produced in Japan every detail on the jean has been translated into Japanese – even down to the iconic red tab.

The jeans are available now at Levi's and retailers such as Goodhood while stocks last.
