California toy company MGA Entertainment has preemptively sued Louis Vuitton to prevent the storied French fashion house from taking any action that might interfere with sales of its Pooey Puitton toy purse, The Business of Fashion reports.

Pooey Puitton is a slime-filled, poop-shaped purse with handles and eyes. In its complaint filed at a Los Angeles federal court last Friday, MGA Entertainment stated that nobody would be likely to confuse the feces-shaped $60 plastic handbag with a real Louis Vuitton bag.

On the contrary, MGA Entertainment said that the product is intended "to criticize or comment upon the rich and famous, the Louis Vuitton name, the LV marks, and on their conspicuous consumption."

The toy company rejects the notion it has infringed Louis Vuitton's intellectual property rights and claims the Pooey Puitton is "protected parody and fair use."
