Editor’s Notes: Following a limited release at NikeLab Chicago on June 8, 1017 ALYX 9SM founder Matthew M. Williams' upcoming Nike technical runner, the Free TR 3 SP, is set to drop via Nike SNKRS in the United States today. The collaborative project arrives in two colorways, a black sneaker with a red removable Vibram outsole and an all-white colorway. The official product shots (above) reveal what the sneaker looks like without its removable outsole.

Williams had previously teased and leaked the sneaker at different stages of the design process, including prototypes. His project includes both a men’s and women’s version, the specifics of which are outlined above.

The Free TR 3 SP was first seen at Paris Fashion Week last year and the NikeLab Chicago drop at the Re-Creation Center c/o Virgil Abloh came as part of the data-inspired new MMW x Nike collection. The collection blends techwear and sportswear influences. Pieces from the MMW x Nike apparel collection also dropped last year in Paris at an ALYX pop-up.
