Miu Miu

Miu Miu's SS21 show included a pandemic-proof digital front row, Kate Moss' daughter Lila's runway debut, and a juxtaposition of preppy and athletic styles to see in the new season of womenswear.

Miuccia Prada's show notes laid out the self-awareness of the collection, “the reason why people dress is sometimes to please, sometimes to be sexy, sometimes to be socially relevant, sometimes for a job. The way you present yourself - the clothes are important because they define you in a second. Clothes are a tool for that message. The first spectator of yourself is you.”

Well, we can spectate ourselves in the ’70s-inspired ombre track jackets. The sporty staple arrives in a mix of brown, green, yellow, red, and turquoise with a range of polka dots, stripes, and feminine adornments pinned to the chest. Whereas Miu Miu has often catered to an "ultra-fem" aesthetic, the SS21 track jackets are making us think that maybe the time is in fact ripe for a revival of the menswear Miu Miu line, and maybe a revival of our running regimen, too.
